Cross-border assistance during wildfire in the High Fens
The major wildfire in the High Fens once again highlights the importance of cross-border cooperation. Through EMRIC, emergency services from Germany and the Netherlands are supporting their Belgian colleagues.
The major wildfire in the High Fens once again shows how important it is for emergency services to cooperate quickly across borders and support each other when needed.
Through EMRIC, German emergency services from the Aachen region have provided assistance to their Belgian colleagues in the province of Liège. As the fire continued to spread, the South Limburg Safety Region in the Netherlands also provided assistance.
